What is an introduction?+
An introduction is when you choose to connect with a matched expert. You submit a brief describing your challenge, we match you to 2-3 vetted experts, and each time you choose to connect with one, that counts as one introduction. The expert then receives your full details and you can arrange a conversation directly.
Do you take a cut from the expert's fees?+
Never. Experts keep 100% of whatever you agree to pay them. Our subscription model means we're incentivised to make great matches, not to inflate fees. The expert pays a one-time setup fee to get vetted and listed — that's it.
What happens if I don't use all my introductions this month?+
Unused introductions don't roll over to the next month. Each billing period resets your allowance. If you consistently have unused introductions, consider switching to a lower tier.
Can I upgrade or downgrade mid-cycle?+
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and you're charged a pro-rated amount for the remainder of your billing period. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period — you keep your current tier's allowance until then.
What if I cancel?+
You keep access to your current plan until the end of your billing period (monthly or annual). After that, you revert to the free tier with no further charges.
How are experts vetted?+
Every expert on Symbiotic.IO goes through a structured vetting process: application review, a recorded interview with our team, transcript analysis, and profile build. We assess depth of experience, specialism fit, working style, and commercial track record. Only experts who pass are listed.
